Wondering the best way to get your bong clean? Follow these easy steps.

Disassemble Your Bong

Start by carefully disassembling your bong, so you can clean each part thoroughly. Remove the bowl, mouthpiece, and any other accessories. Give everything a quick rinse with clean water.

Fill the Chamber with Salt & Isopropyl Alcohol

Start with the chamber. Fill it about ¾ of the way with isopropyl alcohol, then add 2–3 tablespoons of coarse salt.

Shake it Up

Cover the top of your bong with your hand and shake it vigorously, so the isopropyl alcohol/salt solution swishes around. The coarse salt will scrub the sides of the bong, while the isopropyl alcohol cuts through sticky oils and resin.

Let it Sit

After shaking, let the isopropyl alcohol/salt solution sit in your bong for about 10 minutes. Take the smaller parts you removed from the bong earlier and soak them in a bowl of isopropyl alcohol with 2–3 tablespoons of salt for about 10 minutes as well.

Give it a Scrub

After soaking for about 10 minutes, pour the solution out. Then, give the inside of your bong a gentle scrub with a narrow bottle brush or wipe it with a soft cloth.

Rinse

Next, rinse your bong thoroughly with clean water. Repeat a few times. Make sure that you also carefully rinse the bowl, mouthpiece, and other parts after soaking them in the isopropyl alcohol/salt solution.

Final Cleanse

Now it’s time to gently clean your bong (including the smaller parts you removed) with some mild dish soap and a sponge. Be sure to rinse thoroughly again after. Place your bong and all parts on a clean, dry dish towel to let any excess water drain off.

Reassemble

Once all parts of your bong are completely dry, it’s time to reassemble it. Now you’re ready to enjoy some cannabis in your fresh, clean bong!
